Heronswood
Mary Palmer
Visiting Heronswood has always been a source of inspirational escapism, especially when it involves great foliage. Bold architectural foliage always catches my eye and beckons me to come close. Sometimes I feel like I’ve stepped into a Henri Rousseau painting or I’m transported back to the cloud forests of Nepal. My mind wanders and I attempt to capture the moment in my memory and on my camera, hoping to seize a certain aesthetic. One I may take home to my own garden.
